About the REACH 2.0 Program

The REACH 2.0 program is a SAMHSA-funded, immersive training experience in evidenced-based addiction health care practices.  Through collaboration, specialized training, and national networking, Scholars and Near Peers gain the skills and support needed to deliver responsive, adapted care.

Partnerships

Powered by Collaboration, Grounded in Leadership

The REACH 2.0 program is led by the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine (ACAAM), the national organization dedicated to advancing academic addiction medicine. ACAAM fosters a welcoming environment in the field and supports training, mentorship, and professional development for physicians specializing in addiction medicine.

Through ACAAM’s leadership, the REACH 2.0 program benefits from a strong academic foundation and a national network of experts committed to cultivating the next generation of addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry physicians.

Our Academic Partners

The REACH 2.0 program and ACAAM are proud to partner with Baylor College of Medicine, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and Yale University School of Medicine to support the next generation of addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry physicians.

Faculty members from these institutions serve in leadership and mentorship roles within the REACH 2.0 program, guiding educational offerings, Scholars and Near Peers, and shaping training opportunities that prepare physicians to lead in addiction care.

Our Professional Partners

REACH 2.0 is proud to partner with the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). These organizations share our commitment to advancing high-quality care, advocacy, and education in addiction medicine.

Supported by SAHMSA

The REACH 2.0 program is made possible through funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP). SAMHSA is the federal agency leading efforts to improve behavioral health outcomes in the U.S., and its support reflects a shared commitment to advancing health equity and reducing disparities in addiction care.
